I have held off posting about the picnic because what I joked about in the winter is now here. We are still under water here at Brighthope. The water table is very high and the ground very saturated.
We will have to cancel the picnic and keep pumping water. Yes we have even hooked up a pump outside, but to no avail, there are new springs everywhere.
I am not complaining because we finally have some warm weather. We just were able to get our dogs out to Picardy Park after putting up more fencing, even still they come in covered in mud!!
So the 2014 picnic is cancelled.
Dear Aunt Vicki, Zoë and I are so sad that we won't get a chance for a fun-filled visit at the picnic this year. We always enjoy the picnic and seeing all our friends and relatives.... you know.... the fall might be a great time for a picnic... just a thought from a couple of Blues....
